Default 1500hp Fuel Pump Choices..(street use)?

Been on the forum for a while but just made an account. My dad and I are putting a LQ4 with a PT-8847 turbo in our S15 Jimmy! The motor will be all stock for now, but later down the road we will do heads/cam, fully forged and what not.
I've been looking up Electric Fuel pumps this morning for the past couple hours and have made the decision on a MagnaFuel MP-4301 it says its rated for 1500 hp and street use.

I like the pump, I like the price, but whats yalls opinion on it? Is there anything better?
This is what we will be putting it in!

I know a guy in the Houston area that had one of those fuel pumps on his 441LSX build with a PT106 turbo and it held up very nice. Never heard him complain about it.

Sick *** ride btw! Looks tame!

That 1500hp is probably at low carb pressures. Not turbo/efi.

It will probably barely support half that figure at any sensible working pressure.

I love my holley 1800 dominator pump but it wont support 1500. That is belt drive territory IMO

For a legit 1500hp and some headroom, 2 big pumps like those would probably do it.

3 x 044's would do it

3 Walbro's might do it...although that would depend who's HP you're using.

yea a 4301 might support 1500 hp at 6 psi n/a.......but nowhere near that at 43.5 psi base efi with boost on top of it.

Hell, I don't think a single 4303 would do it.

Don't get me wrong, the 4303 is an awesome pump and fully capable of being street driven. But for a real 1500 hp and reliablilty........I'm seeing a push towards belt drive pumps.

As I said, the 4301 is not gonna support anywhere near 1500 hp on a fuel injected forced induction setup.

Not a hope in hell of it supporting that power. Unless its a fairytale dyno, or you're buying two pumps

I think its almost false advertising when they make these power claims for pumps.

Twin walbro 450s will do it, as long as you have 160 lb/hr injectors to keep the pressure down.

huh?

What does having a 160lb injector have to do with keeping pressures down?

I believe he means running a 160lb injector on 43.5 psi vs running a 130lb injector at 58 psi to meet the fuel requirements for the power, thus keeping the pressure lower and letting the pump flow a higher gph to support more power.

Right. Pumps flow less at higher pressure. Bigger injectors will still let you get the fuel you need at a lower pressure than small ones.

"¹ Power ratings are for naturally aspirated engines running gasoline. "

But i dont recall seeing that he actually wanted to make 1500+ HP
the way they advertise this is kindof bull crap though, im sure it should be able to hold up safely to 900-1000 with boost & efi youd think which is still pretty damn good.

Edit, i guess the title does say 1500 HP pump lol

I guess the title is misleading.

With the PT8847 on the LQ4 we have high hopes of somewhere near 1000 RWHP.

So say there's a 20% drivetrain loss, I'd only need 1250 hp to get to my goal.

Yes that would be in a perfect world, and I don't wanna jump into a argument.

I will be running this pump with FIC 1000cc 95lb injectors on 93 octane.

Its gonna be loud, my 625 is louder than my motor at idle for sure.

But so far its held rail pressure at 60psi base and 1:1, just 10psi for now though.

What injectors do you recommend and why?
