E85 setup opinions
What's up guys.. Looking to go e85.. Current setup is a 6.0 heads/cam 402, 12.2/1cr.. Single 255 with 46lb injectors. Wondering what would be a good fuel setup on a slight budget.. Plan on spraying the car eventually through a stand alone..

Injectors need to go for sure...way too small. You should use 80 lbs. injectors or larger for E85 as fuel consumption is approx. 33% greater than Octane fuel. If you want a problem free system go with PTFE lines or a proven compatible Synthetic material, Stainless Steel filters (100 micron and a secondary <40 micron preferably washable), Compatible fuel pump like the Walbro compatible units or a Bosch 044 (some examples), and Anodized Fuel Rails. There is a thread in this category with some good information and I posted a compatible-material link.
All of this will really depend on your build goal.

I run duals and people run duals but unless you need to it just adds another factor for failure...should it occur. A capable single is always the more trouble free option if possible.
80 lbs give you the flexibility to run a bit more power should you decided to (which is likely since we all say....we want X and end up with Y )
Not sure what the oem lines are made of honestly. Some people run items which aren't technically "compatible" and get away with it but I would rather not take the risk and do it right. Check this link out for compatible material: http://iqlearningsystems.com/ethanol...patibility.pdf

Dual walbro 255s, -8an feed/-6an return, Aeromotive FPR, Fast Fuel rails and 80lb injectors. Fuel lab in-line filter too. All lines are PTFE (steel braided teflon hose) Injectors are pretty much maxed at 760whp and pumps will be done at about 800whp on E85 with a 58psi base fuel pressure. Had this setup for 2 years and its been problem free.
I know Im FI but 1 pump on E85 would be done at less than 500. Im upgrading to dual 340s and 127lb injectors this winter

^^I am building a similar setup so I am glad to see the -8 feed and -6 return is more than enough for my goals. I too have dual 340s but havent ran them. The guy I bought the setup from was running E85 and pushing his 2JZ nissan into low 9's no issues.
Never used these pumps but a few local guys have had success with them and they are E85 compatible.
