Default Wiring harness help

I'm going with a 2000 6.0 in my 51 chevy AD along with computer and harness out of the truck. Haven't got to really ck it out yet and was wondering if there was anyone on here that has used the truck harness in something else? I'm going have to get the motor out this wk end because I sold the rest of the truck, I want to keep what I need and then cut the harness apart and clean it up where I don't have a bunch of extra hanging every where. Any help would be appreciated.

One of the Racetronix harness would be better than hacking a stock harness.
