Default Tell me if im crazy or not? Fuel system help!

Upgrading my fuel system and need help to know if my plans will work or im just stupid. Running a -8 feed with external pump to my rails with a FPR after the rails and -6 return to the tank. The car already has a hot wire kit on it. Heres were the twist comes. I want to remove the stock pump and stock FPR. Then splice the hot wire power cable to the aftermarket pump. My thinking is that this means the gas gauge will still work. I am also wondering if i can remove all that evap stuff and just plug the holes. Do I need to keep the sensors for the evap plugged in so it doesnt mess with the way the car runs. It will be professionally tuned so maybe they can just disable it. Just want to know what works so its done right the first time. Let me know what I can remove from the back of the gas tank to make this set up as simple as possible
Thanks guys!

What car? What external pump? How much HP are you trying to support?

I'm more interested in what I can remove from the old stock set up like the evap system and so on. Along with being able to use my stock fuel level sensor.

If you just put the empty bucket with the sender on it back in the tank, you can depin the stock connector so that just the sender wires remain, and the level gauge will work. The regulator after the rails is fine. The only issue you might run into is the wire gauge. Summit quotes that pump as a 14 amp draw at 45 psi. IIRC the hotwire kit is only 12 or 10 ga wire. If it was me, I'd step it up to 8 ga so the pump isn't starved for power and the wires don't overheat. Summit has been wrong before, so maybe the amperage draw is less. At around 10 amps the hotwire kit will be fine.

EVAP can be removed IIRC, but I don't have any details on that. I'm sure a search could tell you how.

The Hotwire kit is 10 gauge. My buddy is an electrician and said 12 is the smallest you could go for a 14 amp draw, so I would imagine 10 would work. Has anyone dealt with the contrary?

Length of the wire is another variable to consider, not just amperage draw and guage. I use 15-20' for anything I run front to rear of the car, just to be safe. More than likely the hotwire will be fine, stepping it up a gauge for critical items is just my personal preference.

Always better to error on the side of caution. Thank you for your input. I read up on the evap also and it appears I can just yank it all out. It will throw a CEL but won't make the car go into limp mode.

I figured it would be something simple like that.
