Default Fuel pressure sending unit

I have a ProSport fuel gauge that has been going through pressure senders quite rapidly. I am looking for suggestions from those who have used these gauges with pressure sending units from other manufactures. I have requested sending unit specifications from ProSport to no avail in the hopes of cross referencing. Pressure sending unit is mounted on the fuel rail. If anyone here could help it would be appreciated.

The common transducers have 2 different voltage requirements...Usually either 5VDC, or 12VDC. [Also have varying pressure ranges]
Be sure they are powered w/the correct voltage.

Well, this is not helpful. There is nothing wrong with the gauge. It is the sending unit. There are lots of these types of sending units available if you know its specifications. My question was to see if anyone had done the research and found one that will work.

Actually it was...
Once you spend the money on a good sender & if you can get it calibrated somewhat accurately, you will then learn the gauge is no better than the sender you just replaced & need to buy one of them also.

Just cut your losses & get an Autometer gauge.
You will likely save money in the long run.

What Lonnie said^^^^^^^^ Autometer is all we install in our custom gauge panels. Have found over the yrs, that many other, less popular gauges didn't "pass muster". Hence, Autometer only.

I decided that the problem is that there is too much vibration for the sending unit mounted to the fuel rail. So I took your advice, ordered the Autometer and a braided hose to remote mount the sensor. This should be the solution to this problem. I'm just tired of dealing with it and because fuel pressure is so important to my build, it needs to be watched.

"I decided that the problem is that there is too much vibration for the sending unit mounted to the fuel rail".

I mounted mine on the Aeromotive FPR, w/ a 90* elbo. Works great.

I use an Autometer sending unit mounted directly to the stock fuel rail where the pressure relief valve was. It's wired into the EGR 5V/signal/ground wires so I can datalog the fuel pressure using the EGR signal through the PCM. Works like a charm.

X2, that's the way I do it too.
