Default Confused on injector size

Hey guys, I'm trying to pick out a set of injectors for my engine. This is my 1st attempt at a injected engine so any help will be greatly appreciated. I have a 2004 LQ4, internals are stock, LS6 intake w/24# injectors, ported TB, screen less MAF, LT headers and straight pipes all in a 82 Camaro with the T56. After I get the engine running and make sure everything is sound I plan to add a cam this summer or fall. My question is will the 24# injectors feed this thing OK until I put a cam in it? Am I better off buying bigger injectors now? I haven't sent my ECM off to be tuned yet. Was waiting until I get the injectors figured out 1st and was planning on going with Frost for a tune unless somebody recommends another tuner. Thanks in advance for any help!!

Those injs will do just fine, until a cam is installed.
Once the cam is in, do some data logs, and see what duty cycles are running at, go from there.

that 6.0L engine is going to need something larger than 24# injectors.

it will run fine part throttle, but I really don't suggest running around hitting 6k rpm, as I'm betting the duty cycle/DEMAND for fuel will exceed those 24#ers

Even with no internal mods? Can anybody else chime in on this, I've only got a little more wiring to do and if I have to order injectors I'd wanna do it now. Also anybody chime in on best max rpm a stock bottom end on a LQ4 will hold and last at?

I'd get some 42 lb injectors, they will work now, after the cam, when you decide to do heads, and when you decide on a shot of nitrous lol

Or if you can score some 36 lb injectors for $150 used then that would work as well

Internal mods are not what necessitates the fueling your engine needs. The cam and heads do because they are the ones dictating how much air goes into the engine and thus the fueling needed.

With just a cam, you can just go up to some #36.

they will provide plenty of fuel for that...you may be in the lower duty cycle ranges. Those are 56# at 58psi... if you have an adjustable fuel pressure (regulator) I would suggest turning them down to 43.5psi. they would then be 48.8LB injectors

You really just need injectors. 36# would work fine, as your fuel pressure should be 58psi.

I see you are putting a T56 and the Lq4 in an older car, what kind of fuel system are you making or what do you have? You will need a regulator to regulate your fuel pressure... I'm not sure on the details of you fuel system, if you are using a factory LS1/LQ4/ Firebird/CAmaro system/tank.

I have a 4th gen plastic tank with a LS1 fuel pump, the tank it a direct bolt in for my 3rd gen, also have a fuel filter with built in regulator so I'm assuming its 58psi, I am going to need a regulator? What kind of pressure will the engine need? Sorry this is my 1st FI build
