Default Fuel Rail Setup, swap question

Swapping a 2000 lq4 into my 2000z28.
The lq4 came with the return style system, and the car has the single line.

Having a bit of a brain fart here, and a little ignorant...Does the lq4 require the return setup or can I run it with the stock single supply?

Looking for some guidance here...
I picked up a set of prof products anodized rails. There are provisions to run either setup. Anyone have a similar setup that can post a few pics?

Ill post some pics tonight for reference.

Thanks members!

run it like it was on your car, that doesn't have anything to do with the engine itself, just the fuel system employed by the vehicle.
