Can I use new sender with return built in for LS1 in 68 Camaro?
I've got an LS1 from a 98 Camaro and will be installing it in my 68 Camaro. I was given a fuel tank unit today and was wondering why I couldn't just use this sending unit so I have a return line:

It has a 3/8" feed and 1/4" return line already plumbed in.
My car is just going to be a daily driver, so am I missing something in thinking I can just get a decent fuel pump and mount it as low as possible and plumb everything?

3/8" should be adequate for even a fairly modified LS1. I recommend going with an in-tank pump if someone makes one for your application. I am sure they do; I ordered one from Novak for the CJ7. It will last longer and run quieter and cooler IMO. I had an external at first and had priming issues and it was loud. Switched to in-tank and it's so quiet by comparison and works so well I often forget it is there.
