Default Fuel pump

Ok, was getting the car tuned this past weekend and we determined that the fuel pump is weak in the car. 1998 Trans Am, LS1 with mods in sig. Now I have two options and wonder which would be the best to do. I have a '00 parts car that has the entire tank with fuel pump, sending unit etc etc I could swap over which may help with my fuel gauge issue where it doesn't work. I also have a 255lph Walbro in my '87 GTA that I'm parting out I can take out and put it in the '98 sender, but have to figure out how to get the fuel gauge working. Is there anything else I need to do to put the '00 tank in the car? Fuel lines different? I have those as well since it was a complete roller when I bought it. Any guidance would be great.
