Default Are LS1 injectors rebuildable/serviceable?

Hey guys, trying to button up some of the final details on my 4.8L going into my Nova. I have an intake from a 2002 LS1 with injectors. The intake had 120k miles on it and I assume the injectors are original. Can these injectors be rebuilt, serviced etc? Or are they disposable?

Thanks

The cost to service the injectors wouldn't worth it.

Yes they are rebuildable and cheaper than purchasing new. I sent out a set of stock 28# ones to Fuel Injector Connection and turned them into 55# and work nicely. Flow tested and a great price. Here is a link to their resizing service page:

Are there any cons to having old injectors worked?

Never heard of that site. I've looked into servicing injectors a number of times before and it was much more expensive than this site. Thanks for posting.

Has anyone bought injectors off eBay? They look pretty reasonable.

Indeed I have. When I got my White Bosch 3's I got them off eBay (not a parts slinger but an actual fueling specialist) I had one that wouldn't work.

What sucked was swapping them on the dyno during tuning to find that out. So, after another week and more money for more dyno tuning, I finally had a working set of 8 injectors.

Kinda aggravating when they've been "disassembled, cleaned, rebuilt and flow matched"

ebay sells cheap bosch knockoffs that are made in china also beware of those. I personally run and like the ls3 units. You need adapters for them but they can be picked up for around 125 a set, flow 42lbs and offer oem reliaility

That's too much headache for me for a potential $50 savings. I was looking at a set of 42lb buy a seller "Michigan Motorsport" for $189. Currently sending these LS1's out to be resized is leading the charge.

$125 a set new or used? Looks like the height adapters are $30 a set, then the ev1-ev6 connectors are another $30. Is there anything else needed to adapt them over?

Used. Although all the ones I've seen in that range are either new take offs or slight used. I paid 95 bucks shipped for mine on corvette forum with 18k on them. Go on there and search since they're stock injectors on vette people let them go real cheap on there.

And you need a tune like any other injector but that's it

I had injectors rebuilt by http://www.rceng.com for my 3100 in a Buick Regal. The car was a dog until I had them rebuilt. I was amazing that I could finally squeal the tires in that underpowered grocery getter. I don't know what they charge now, but it was $25 per injector 10 years ago.
