Default TRE Performance Injectors???

Does anybody have an experience with the TRE Performance Bosch/Siemens style injectors?

http://treperformance.com/i-20618979...jectors-8.html

I know the actual Siemens injectors do really well considering the low price. TRE claims to manufacture these injectors in house and carry a 1 year warranty on them. And at 280 bucks for a set of 8, that seems like steal.

I saw a few mentions of their fuel pumps on the forum but didn't really get much from them.

Thanks!

they are bosch injectors with the discharge plate removed. with no tune data you will pull your hair out. i had a friend buy them and i tried to tune them.. best i could do at idle was pig rich.. we put in dekas and used the banish data.. that car runs fine now

Im not knowledgeable in fueling/injectors/tuning but what does the lack of discharge plate do? Wouldn't the tune data be the same as the Deka 80's since they are just a direct copy?(minus this discharge plate)

Want to bump this thread because I too saw these online and would like to know how they perform compared to the real SD 80lbers.

$229 vs $340.

I looked into these a few years back and it looked like they carried top brands, along with selling other quality parts. I think you would be fine, just stay clear of smartfire when Ebay injector shopping.

I've found two reviews of them being a pain in the *** because they came with no injector data and that the idle quality is garbage compared to the real SD 80s. Then I've also found two more reviews with people who didn't have any problems with these TRE injectors. Not sure what to think of this product. I assume having no injector data would be a nightmare to figure out if that's the case with these.

But if they actually do work well then the price is sweet!

I don't know if the guy above was saying the data he got didn't work, or that they had no data.

They list the data info on their ads so... Dunno, but I was thinking of trying them myself.

I just found these injectors from VSRacing:
http://www.vsracing.net/catalog/product_info.php?products_id=1363&osCsid=67dc1c936 452e2ecf7e9c5cacf9730ef

They are 127lb genuine Bosch Injectors it says for only $120. I know VSRacing is respectable and used by lots of people so I'm assuming this is a good product. I wonder how idle quality would be with these. 127lbers for $120 beats the 80lbers from TRE for $230 or regular price of $340.

Yeah, anyone running these?

That's an awesome deal if they can idle well.

"No reviews.." Argh....

For clarification, that $120 price is for ONE injector

My advice... stick with GM injectors if you can... 39lbs LS3, 42lbs Flex, 47lbs LS9... once you go past that and need 60lbs... Siemens... and after that... well it's ID all the way. If you need 80 or higher, then you're making a ton of power and cheaping out on the injector is not a good way to risk the rest of your build.
