Interested in running a 2 liter surge tank up front. I am a little lost on the basic setup, mainly the routing of lines at the tank

Stock tank with a good pump to the surge
Surge tank, good feed and pump to rails

From here Im lost

The regulator return runs to the surge tank or the stock tank?

The routing of return line in general from surge/stock tank confusing me, to keep the surge tank from flooding
