Default Best External Fuel Pump For 500 HP?

Looking to run an external pump for my GTM due to the fact that the internal setup is way way too intrusive to get to. The porsche transaxle can only handle about 500 HP from the crank, so no need to ever go above that. The only external pump I've ever really heard of is the A1000, but that seems a bit overkill for my setup. Ive also read of them running hot and rendering themselves useless in street applications. Definitely not ideal for a GTM since their engine bays are notoriously HOT! So what are my options?

If you dont want to have heat issues keep it in the tank.

Dragweek is a test of heat and fuel system. Internal pump should never have issues. External everyone I have seen has issues with heat.

Thanks for your opinion, but, as the title of the thread states, I am looking for an external pump. The tanks are a real PITA to remove from a finished GTM. Requires removal of many interior parts, removal of sheetmetal that is riveted to the frame, etc.. Not a job anyone wants to do.

Nothing will beat a Bosch 044. They are ultra reliable...just make sure it's a genuine one as there seem to be a lot of fakes out there.

As for heat intank vs external. It is a non issue. The external has the very same cold fuel from the tank passing through it at a very high rate anyway.

The only way there could ever be a problem is if the plumbing is very bad....but then the problem is the plumbing, not the pump.

Thanks for the reply.. A little too late for me though, I ended up ordering a Walbro GSL392-400-939. Hopefully it will suffice.
