Default 87% Injector Duty before the 2-3 shift

Car in sig.
TH-400, I shift the car at 7500 rpm's, right before the 2-3 shift the injector duty cycle is 87%.
Good, O.K., or BAD?
Thanks

Is it strictly a racecar? What's the DA for that duty cycle? Do you plan for a power adder?

Yes racecar only.
N/A only.
Don't keep up with the DA, maybe I need to start.
Really didn't know DA would effect the duty cycle.

What I've read is you don't want no more than 80% duty cycle.
I'm hitting 80% at around 7000 rpm's. Car still pulls to 7500 but starts to miss (pop-pop) then.
Am I running out of fuel at that point.
All the injector charts I go to, say I need atlease 48 lb injectors.

What size injectors are you running now?

The more dense the air the more oxygen present. This requires more fuel.

Do you have a wideband in the car? Was it tuned that high in the rev range?

42 lb injectors.
I have a WB, can't get it to log through HPT yet.
I'll have to look at the tune file to see if it was tuned for that rpm. If I can figure out how to pull up the file.
Still trying to learn all about HPT. I'm really lost. I do all the work on my car, except tuning. This computer tuning, blows my mind. Not computer savy.
I'm old school. LOL.

You'll know more when you get a wideband hooked up. Until then you won't whether your fueling is right, rich, out lean. Then you'll figure out the actual needed duty cycle.

On a dedicated race car, as long as the DA is monitored, I wouldn't worry too much about the duty cycle.

Thank you Sir, for you're advice and knowledge.
Think I'm going to upgrade my standard HPT for the Pro version. Maybe I can hook up the WB easier and want need the laptop in the car to log my runs. The laptop is kinda pain!

I've got a set of #63 Seimans\Deka injectors which may work for you. They came with my Whipple but I replaced them with id850s.

I live in Collierville and I'll give you a good deal.
