Default Fuel pump wiring getting extremely hot!

I just recently installed 2 racetronix 340 lph pumps into my 00 TA. I'm also running a hotwire kit for the pumps. I noticed today that the wiring is getting extremely hot to the point that it's starting to melt the wiring loom. Any ideas?

I would run my own Hotwire both pumps on 10gauge wire. To the back of the alternator.

did you run 2 separate kits or both pumps off one?

How am I supposed to hook them up then? There is only one stock harness with 18 or 20 gauge wire that passes they the sending unit to the pumps? Is there an upgrade kit or something for the wiring?

https://ls1tech.com/forums/fueling-i...omponents.html <--- Excellent read me

Any pictures of your current setup? I'm in the midst of doing dual 340LPH pumps as well. Basically I have the racetronix hotwire kit for one and I'm making another hotwire kit for my other pump. You need two power feed wires. The grey wire in the big fitting behind the tank on the body is the "switch" wire to turn on the pumps.

Grey wire- Pump trigger wire
Purple wire- Sending unit wire - (Fuel Level)
Black wire w/white tracer- Sender ground

Here's what I have so far, I'll be ordering another one of those white bulkhead connectors for the second pump.

Or you can take the simple route and order this...

I spoke with Lonnie's performance and he hooked me up with all the dual wiring stuff and a Hobbs switch so I'll be good to go next week. I got very lucky I didn't fry something!
