Siemens Deka 110324 80# injector questions
Stock LM7 + Z06 cam + HX55 Holset turbo. Fuel pressure measured at the rail with a large good quality liquid filled gauge = 44 psi (engine off, pump running)
I bought a Megasquirt MS3 Gold box, PNP harness and 110324 80# Deka injectors from EFI Source, so I am sure they are not knock off injectors.
I am new to Megasquirt, so initially I got the car up & running using a set of stock LS6 injectors & 1 bar map sensor.
After playing around with MS3 tuning with the 1 bar map, I changed to a 3 bar map sensor (still with the LS6 injectors), made adjustments and got it starting & idling pretty well.
Then I installed the Deka 80# injectors & adjusted the flow rate & dead time in the MS3 (830 cc)
After installing the Deka injectors it was very lean at idle with the injector flow rate set at 830 cc. I had to reduce the flow rate in the MS3 setup down to 635 cc to get the idle AFR back to the target.
Also, one of the injectors doesn't work (dead cylinder, no injector click, good pulse shown with injector noid light, moving the injector moves the dead cylinder)
Total run time on the 80# injectors is less than 30 minutes.
Suggestions on why the flow rate in MS3 has to be set so low to get the AFR back to target?
