So I am building a 5.3 liter Chevy to go in my 74 c10 short bed stepside and have a 5.3 the runs I was thinking of putting a cam and heads and FAST LSXR intake with some long tube headers but I also thinking of putting some stock 4.8 liter flat top Pistons I would love to run MSD atomic Efi ........I would like to make 450 hp to the rear wheels !!! Plz comment your opinion would love some advice I am new to this

450 at the tire is really hard to achieve naturally aspirated out of a 5.3 motor. I don't honestly think it's possible without stroking the motor or going the power adder route.
What cam you considering ?
What heads ?
What's the purpose of the truck?

The truck I would like to drag race but be able to use as a daily driver so far on the truck it it a off from restoration so having 450hp at the rear wheels how much would I have to have at the fly wheel

450 at the tire is go be like 550 at the crank with a automatic. Maybe a bit more. Let's not forget stalls/automatic transmissions tend to eat up more rear wheel power than a stick.
Trickflow heads are nice but still at the end of the day I say you need more cubes.
I would personally sell the 5.3 and look for 6.0 motor to achieve your goals.

i put down 500 at the wheel in the ta with a 5.3. I custom ground a cam for a large stroker, and used my worked over 5.3 heads with 2.02 1.57's. The 5.3 won't make any more than 500 rwhp without forced induction. You just cant pump any more air un-assisted through it. I am running an overly aggressive can to make the power and it almost makes it a bear to drive. my 615 615 240/246 108* cam seems to be pushing the cfm limit
