Default More cost effective? Sump/Dual intake/Fuel cell?

Looking at doing an E85 fuel setup for something in the 1000-1100 range.

Seems people go a number of routes on these fuel setups anyone know which breaks down to be the best bet money wise?

Im following for info as well.

I kinda made up my mind up on what I wanna do (tossed around the idea for at least 6 months now). Cost effectiveness for me is to go sump style.

I have a 97 TA so that means metal tank. So I found a sump tank kit on Summit for like $70. Then I met a guy of Facebook that can get me a good price on the MP-4303 (you'd need something larger) with both inline filters and relay for like $520.

The drop-in setups like Lonnies and Squash are a lot simpler but more $$$. And depending on what kit you choose, it wont include the lines and fitting from tank to fuel rails. (They offer them at additional $$$ but at that point it'll be well over $1k). I plan on being at tops $750 with my setup being complete.

My fabricator said he wouldnt do a fuel cell in my f body's hatch because of safety rules, fumes and such. Even though I see tons of people do it, he wouldnt do it unless i insist on it.

If he has concerns about a fuel cell on those grounds, he's doing it wrong.

Obviously any fuel cell would need its own sealed enclosure and all ventilation would be routed externally.

There's a lot to be said for keeping it simple.

But without knowing intended usage etc etc etc etc, no way to say if an OEM tank will suffice or whether some sort of cell or external or swirl tank setup might be better.

And the OEM tank is no doubt mounted outside the cabin, so no reason why a properly designed cell couldn't simply replace this. Obviously that would be big money though

Really there are always plenty of options depending on what you actually need and want to spend

So your saying its ok to mount it in the hatch and just vent it outside? Either he didnt know that or he didnt want to do the work. Lol

If it's mounted inside a sealed enclosure with any fill or vents routed externally as required. Then yes that would be ok.

But why mount it inside the cabin unless there really is no other option ?
