I have a 01 silverado with the 5.3. The motor is stock except for a tune (intune). I'm going to be getting a custom tune done on it soon by lew.

I have a friend who has a set of injectors out of is 2008 2500 with the 6.0 (lq4?). He offered to sell me them cheap, but I have no idea if they would even do anything for me since the motor is basically stock. I would really like to turbo my motor, but there are other things in the budget before I drop a few grand on that setup.

So does anyone know if those injectors would do anything beneficial for me? Thank you.

I wouldn't bother getting a tune on a stock 01 5.3 you won't get much more out of it and no the injectors won't help at all on a stock motor

X2 on the injectors, but deff do the tune.
Most of the change comes from changing the transmission shift points/line pressure along with reducing and/or removing the torque management.
