Default Fuel pressure regulator placement

Just wanting to know where you put your fuel pressure regulator. Thinking about putting it right on the rail. Here is a pic. Do you think this will work ok?

Regulator on the rail like that is probably the best for function (most accurate) - but I think location is more about where you have space and personal preference.

I have that same FPR, in the corner on the brake booster (Mighty Mouse Bracket).

I'm interested about this too...Reiterating the words of someone much more versed in this than myself; While on-the-rail regulator seems to be popular, there is speculation of whether of not there are increased fuel temperatures from hanging out under the hood.

I wonder how many people are regulating/returning fuel prior to getting to the engine bay.

That subjects the regulator to a lot of vibrations - not exactly a good thing. Best is to have it somewhere near one end of the fuel rail, but mounted to almost anything other than the engine. For example, to the firewall, connected to the rear of the rail with a short hose.

+1 get it on the off the engine* but not onto the firewall: (https://ls1tech.com/forums/drag-raci...pass-tech.html), isolated with a vibration resistant mount. A braided hose, or any kind of plumbing, when laying up against something that also touches a vibrating engine, will gradually eat through or get eaten through over time. You want that stuff as far from vibrating city as possible.

I think firewall mounted is against some track rule. I read it somewhere recently. Just something to look into before you mount it there..

Off point abit but you should not leave the gauge on the regulator. They get beat up and will give inaccurate readings.
