Please Help! Need advice on choosing fuel pump.
I am trying to figure out what to do for my fuel pump. Car is a thirdgen f-body, 99-02 f-body fuel tank and bucket, cammed LS3 (225/238), stock heads and intake, and 42lb/hr injectors. I have 3/8 fuel feed line and a Corvette FPR/fuel filter.
I want to be able to grow, cnc ported heads, bigger cam, maybe an intake. I know I may need to change the fuel lines or Corvette FPR/fuel filter depending on what top end I run. I am ok with needing to change that, but I would rather not have to change the fuel pump.
I would like to keep the venturi system, but I have read a bigger pump can empty the bucket faster than the venturi can fill it. Seems like the biggest pump is the racetronix 255 kit that still keeps the venturi system.
What are my limitations going with a 340 or 450 and doing the bucket mod. I have read the bigger pump can overpower the Corvette FPR/fuel filter.
Set me straight guys.

I could see down the road looking to add a 75-150 shot and wouldn't want to change fuel pumps. I would like to do a fuel pump once, but if a 255 will be good for whatever NA cam and intake I choose I can live with that. I can always change if that time comes. There is no guarantee I would even go down that road at a later time, just a dream I suppose.
I should be good with:
Heads, cam, intake, and longtunes on LS3
255 pump, stock bucket
3/8 feed
5/16 return
Corvette filter/regulator combo.
Thanks

I see what youre saying, but just so you know a 255 pump and hotwire kit will get to around 600-650 rwhp. So enen with a 75-100 you should be fine. 150 could go either way I guess

Thanks! I think I will go 255. I can keep the venturi and still have plenty of pump for a while.

Will do. The build thread is here. Hopefully pulling my stock drive-train over the winter.

I've been doing a bit more reading and since I am using the complete LS1 tank, the regulator is built in. This tells me I do not need to use a corvette filter/regulator combo.
Am I correct in this thinking? I will be purchasing the racetronix 255 F-Body Fuel Pump Assembly.
