Default Reducing fuel temperatures

When I got home today after racing and then driving 50 miles home my fuel temps were around 45dec C (115F), my fuel pump was very noisy and I was having odd leaning out issues which came and went.

I expect the increasing AFR's were a result of fuel vapourising in the rails, although the fuel pressure was staying pretty consistent.

The system is:

Sumped tank > AN10 feed line via 100 micron pre-filter > AEM 340LPH pump > 10 micron post-filter > AN8 feed line to fuel rails > regulator > AN6 return line to top of tank.

There's no restrictions in the fuel system, everything is clean. It's all routed well away from exhaust pipes etc.

I am seeing coolant temps of around 195-200 in the hot weather we are currently having, so I expect that the fuel is picking up a lot of heat from around the engine bay.

Any suggestions?

You might consider upgrading to a -8 AN return, or putting a fuel cooler on your return line.

Wrap the fuel lines in the engine bay with a good insulation. Simple, inexpensive, and easy to do.

Good shout, I'll get some reflective sleeving and see if that's enough to keep the temperatures down.

Spraying return fuel into the top of the tank will aerate it, causing bubbles to be pulled into the pump. This will cause the noise.
If the return is not submerged to the bottom of the tank, and as far from the pick up as possible, I'd change it's location.

While I agree that a Rick's tank/ Vaporworx module is the ideal combination, since the OP has a bunch of money into the current setup, I'll chime in on that. What most people do with a large dual feed setup like that is run it on a Hobbs switch to kick the second fuel pump on at a set PSI. I have usually seen around 4psi for the secondary switch, but that is generally with a turbo. Could be different with a supercharger.

Also keep in mind the stock ZL1 Camaro fuel pump is a 250 lph pump and those are good for around 650 rwhp.
