Has anyone had any issues with hard starting after installing this pump? I have this in my 00 Trans Am, and it will turn over 8 or more times before it starts. With stock pump, I could bump the key and it fired right up. Replaced it when the injectors were upgraded.

What did you do with the injector upgrade? What size did you go to/from, and what changes did you make for the injectors?

Went to bigger injectors with the cam install. It was tuned after that, but I was told the reason for the hard start was due to it having to fill the bucket...Sales guy from Walbro said that should not be the case, and the fuel lines should already be primed from the ECM turning the pump on when the key is turned on

That pump is a drop in replacement. The injectors are far more likely to be the problem.

That's my thought as well. During the first tune it was leaning out, so I was told it was either a weak fuel pump, or the stock injectors were not big enough. So both were replaced, and retuned. It stumbles and dies in traffic etc, and its hard to start now. The stumbling I was told, was due to it not getting enough air, and that I needed a SLP lid on my ram air box...Personally, I just think it needs tuned again. I do not believe it will be starving for air below 1500 rpm and causing the stumble

Sounds like injector data probably didn't get entered correctly.

The tuner is the one who ordered the injectors since they were the ones he works with and said they have the data sheets..I think she is running rich. Can smell the gas out of the exhaust...Im gonna pull a cpl plugs once it stops raining here and see.
