ok so in the planning stages of a 600+hp build. basically going to copy what hotrod did. lq4 block, l92 heads, gmpp hot cam kit or similar, maybe a little squirt from the giggle gas. not sure yet.. anyways one of the ideas I had, was use a LS3? intake for a carb, and plop an ebay special 4 bbl TB on it, bore out the injector bosses, and use stock injector rails, and use the lq4 ecu possibly programmed to suit such a build. this would allow me to use a cheapo off the shelf nitrous plate if desired as well. would this combo net anything? from my highly calibrated eyeball the intake runners look long on the ls / l intakes, so I would say it would only add a slight bump in higher rpm hp. or would it just be better to find an oe ls3 or l92 intake, and modify to accept a cable throttle body? This combo is going in a bmw if anyone wants to know... forgive me as this is my first gen 3 build. I just recently came over from the B/RB Chrysler world.
