Will 42 # injectors work for 500rwhp N/A?
Is there such a thing as "too much injector"? My projected rwhp is 475-500 rwhp normally aspirated, should I use 36 # or 42 #? Also are the stock fuel rails good enough? I also,do plan on switching to a Racetronix in-tank pump.

The larger injector is a bit harder to tune for idle and off-idle conditions.
I am probably gonna use the 36s. It should handle 530 crank hp at 80% duty cycle and 666 crank hp at 100% assuming 0.5 BSFC. If you use a power adder than you are at 0.6 BFSC and should use the 42s.
I anticipate the 402 with my cam and mods should be at 480 rwhp and 540 crank hp. But you might want the 42s as insurance.
EZ to sell and change however.

The Delphi 42's are a VERY tunable injector.
A&A uses many of them as well as Thunder Racing w/o issues.
Why not buy an injector that will give you room to grow?
If your tuner can not make proper minor adjustments for AE fueling then it would be best to find one who knows what they are doing.

No difference.
It all comes down to whether or not the tuner knows what he is doing.
The disc injectors are very fast allowing for easy adjustment at idle etc.
Turbo Buick owners run 60# injectors in their small 231CI motors with an early 1980's ECM just for comparison. Buick owners don't usually buy 3 sets of progressively larger injectors as they add more HP. They usually go from the stock 28# flow right up to 50#+ and tune for the given HP + A/F required. Buying injectors that are just enough seems to be an issue with the V8 crowd. It must be old school teachings from the days of carb jets. As long as the injector PW can be made narrow enough to satisfy the A/F requirements at idle and light throttle everything else is easy. You have to step up to a really large injector before you start to notice the tuning becoming touchy.
