What fuel pump & injectors for a 408??
Building a 408 w/ AFR 225's, a cam in the 250's I/E and around .635 lift also going with custom Wiseco pistons with lateral gas ports. Comp ratio will be about 11.25-1. also i have Kooks stepped headers a TSP true dual exhaust
As of right now i have SVO 30lbs and a stock pump. What will i need and what do i NOT need!! No spray and no power adder's. Thanks

I'm guessing that 42# injectors would be ok, but 60# mototrons don't cost much more, and will idle fine. With the size cam you have, I'm guessing this will be a high rpm motor, so the injectors don't have as much time to deliver fuel as they would on a high torque turbo setup. As long as you can still tune a good idle, there is no reason not to go with oversize injectors.

I am currently out of injector and Paul at Thunder says all I need is 30# SVO's, and that they will be fine for the LS2 402 that I'm doing next year. He claims they are using the 30# even in 427's. Just no FI. I was going to go 42# and he convinced me and a friend of mine all we needed was 30#.

I have a 408 and an running Seimens Deka 50# injectors and Racetronics pump. I would rather have an inject or that I know will be big enough verses one that should be big enough.
