Default Fuel Prob??

dont know if this is the right place for it or not but dont know where else to post.

my brother has some trouble with his car when he is goin down the track, the car seems like it shuts off or something 2 even 3 times on the way down the track. It hasnt happend on the street but he never really gets on it on the street. Wondering if it could be the fuel pump or b/c he only had about a 1/4 or less tank of gas or electrical????

What do you guys think?

Thanks

have you guys put a fuel pressure gauge on it? also, check for signs of wires that may short out when the motor torques over.(i had this problem on a 94 Lt1 b-body, and it ended up being one of my header pipes had started to melt the insulation on the starter cable and it would short out intermittently when the engine torqued over, grounding the starter wire out on the header pipe, and killing[electrically] everything else including the ignition, then the engine wouldn't fire and that would break the short, re-engaging the ignition).
