Default Fuel Return Line?

What causes you to have to run a fuel return line to the tank.Is it the aftermarket lines and rails and regulator or is it the style of pump you are running?

It's the kind of fuel pressure regulator you are using. The advantage with running a return line regulator is the fuel continuously circulates keeping a supply of cooler fuel at the ready for the motor. A returnless system is simpler and lighter.
