What BAR are my injectors?
Bought a set of Lucas 42.5# from a guy along with the proCharger setup not too long ago. Well now, my tuner says he needs to know what bar they are so he can tune it. How the hell am I supposed to know that? He says he thinks they are probably 43.5#, 3 bar. I'd really like to know for sure rather than guessing on something like this. Don't wanna blow my engine or anything The guy I bought them used from says he got them from speed inc and swears they are 42.5#. Can someone please help me out???

Thanks for the help!
Umm... Sorry for the ignorance, but can you please explain to me what you just said? Are all LS1 injectors 4 bar? Or do all LS1's run a 4 bar system, and the injectors are rated at a seperate bar rating scale?? or what? I don't even know what bar is or what it means. Completely new to all these terms I appreciate your time and effort educating me on this subject

Yeah, Bar is a different measuring system. Like Pounds & CCs, Bar is a different method of reading pressure. Most Systems (and injectors) rate at 3 bar (40 something PSI). GenIII engines run at 4 bar (58.something PSI).
If you get a 3 bar rated injector and put it in a 4 bar system, it will actually flow a higher number. I'm using these 39 Ford Cobra injectors which are supposed to run around 41-42 pounds on our system.
Now not all injectors are rated at 3 bar. Thats when it gets fun If you do a search, you'll find calculators to let you know what a 3 bar injector will run at under 4 bar.

Okay- thanks for clearing that up a bit for me. Clear as mud now lol j/k
Got home, and found a blue plastic small c-clip on the top of the injectors. There is no other color on them except black. There is a 4 digit # on the front at the top that reads 3252. There is also a 7 digit # on the side that reads 01D030B. Hopefully I can find out with a search as to what bar these are rated at...

Ahh- so 100kPa = 1 bar then. I see. I happen to remember from my thermodynamics class that 100kPa is about normal atmospheric pressure. So 1 bar= 1 ATM you all just witnessed a light bulb come on in my head
