Default Fuel Rail Fittings

Thought I would post some pics with descriptions of the necessary fittings needed to connect aftermarket fuel rails to the stock fuel line. There is probably a few ways to do this but this seems to be pretty neat and functional.

First pic shows the fittings together and second pic shows each individual fitting.

Starting from the rail rail down to the line they are as follows:

Fuel Rail to 3/8" NPT/8 AN adapter
3/8" NPT/8AN adapter to 90 degree 8 AN fitting
90 fitting to 8 AN braided hose
Braided hose to Straight 8 AN fitting
Straight 8AN fitting to 8AN/6AN reducer fitting
8AN/6AN reducer to 6 AN Russell Hardtube Adapter

The fuel rail - pipe thread adaptor is the tricky one
to find. Which mfr, P/N did you use?

It's a Russell Fitting Flare to Pipe Straight Adapter -8AN/3/8" NPT.

I got mine from Summitt page 45 in their new catalog. PN: RUS-66048

yep 3/8 npt to 8an
might be listed as pipe to an too
aeroquip, russel, earls, jegs brand, etc all have them.
Everything can also be had in black, polished, nickel, except the hardline converter.
(for those of you who are picky)

and you'll need 2 more 3/8-8an for the back of the rails and 2 more 90* 8an fittings back there
then a 3/8 plug for the front of the passenger side
OR
a 3/8 to 1/8 npt, then a fuel pressure gauge, or a 1/8npt 90* if you want to mount it to view from the side.

the NPT fittings require pipe sealant, the -AN fittings do not.

Yea, the back of the rails you have a choice. I did a 90 degree elbow fitting connected to a straight AN fitting. Same result just a different method.

90* 3/8?
hrmm
havent thought of that
I like the more gradual turn of the 90* -AN fitting.
