Default Anyone have a bad racetronix pump {new}

well my saga continues My car is having fuel pressure problems at TTP. Matt say's it will have pressure at idle then when you hit the throttle it drop's pressure sometimes 5-10 lbs or sometimes it almost loses all pressure then sometimes it ok till around 3500rpm then it will drop. They said all grounds are good and voltage is good as well. This set up has less than 1 hr on it. Has anyone had a problem like this or any idea's??

Man that sucks, What type of FP gauge are you using? I just put a racetronix P&P system in as well and have not really tested it yet.

I've got one on the bench ready to go in tomorrow... I sure hope this isn't a common occurence. That'd make me sick. Especially after all the time spent swapping motors. My fingers are crossed....

You could have a leak at one of the hose fittings or in a hose inside the tank. I have seen it happen. Bob

Yeah like Bob said. I'd check or have your shop check the lines in the tank. I was told if it wasn't done right my pressure would be off, by Thunder Racing. Basically there's a very small line that attaches to the actual stock pump that has to be cut and put onto the new pump. Second, there's the white bendy-straw looking hose that needs to be clamped down with a worm clamp in the assembly. If they're not sealed well they'll just spew the fuel back in the tank.

Fuel pressure will bleed off rather quickly when the engine is turned off. It might also have to crank for a few seconds before the engine fires up. Bob

Not sure if this is related but I have a Racetronix P&P with a MSD BAP. After a great initial tune and 3500 flawless miles, it now is fluctuating 5-15psi very rapidly from when it builds 8-10psi of boost. I have not had time to log any data but I'm sure it's in either the BAP or the pump.

I went with the LPE model as I have heard some issues over on the Corvette Forum as I was putting together my FI ride, it works quite nice with the BAP setup.
