how to test for leaks in new fuel setup ?
I installed a set of LS1speed fuel rails and braided line over the weekend. Looks pimp !
The rumors are true, I do smell the sweetness of gas vapors through the braided line if I put my nose to it.
What's a good way to make sure I don't have any leaks (whatsoever) ? I used gas-compatible teflon pipe tape on the NPT ends of the rails, the rest is AN fittings good and tight. I don't really smell any gas or hear any hissing when the rails are primed and am not finding any gas on my fingers when touching the fitting connections...
Maybe leave a pressure gauge on it overnight and watch for a drop in pressure ?
Just want to be uber-sure, that's all. Something about leaky fuel lines makes my stomach feel funny.
Thanks,
Rob (Bad30th)
