Default Fuel pressure question/problem

Other than dual walbro pumps and SVO 42# injectors I have a stock fuel system. The fuel pressure has been 76psi and would level off a 70psi consistently. The last time I drove the car it was showing 60psi, what would cause the pressure drop? I was told the factory regulator may have failed and that could cause the pressure drop?

I was in the process of installing aftermarket fuel rails and regulator with return, I would like to have a good general idea what to expect or look for when I do the upgrade.

Thanks for your help guys!

The rgulator is just an orifice...would be hard to fail since it's a hole...pressure would go up if anything. I'd guess you have a leaky connection at the pumps or one pump is going south...are you sure both are pumping?

Not sure if both are pumping, they are both new with approx. 1000 miles.
