Question about 5.3 Fuel Pump
I am installing a 2004 5.3l into an 89 s-10 frame. I need a high pressure fuel pump to feed it. I want to go with an in-tank setup (i am using the original s-10 tank).
What I am looking at right now is the Walbro 255ltr/hr High pressure pump. I have heard good things and they are fairly cheap.
What I need to know is what other modifications will need to be made to use this pump.
Will my stock regulator/fuel rail handle the volume this puts out? (I also plan on using the stock 5.3 fuel lines.)
Is there any reason I shouldn't use this pump (anyone had problems with it?)?
What other options for an in-tank setup do I have?
Thanks a bunch.
