Default LS1 injectors on an L98

I have an 88 Formula 350 (L98) and the injectors are going bad. I have the stock injectors out of my 2000 LS1 (replaced em with #30), just crossed my mind that maybe the LS1 stockers will fit the L98. Looked up part numbers and they seem to be the same, any suggestions?

Yes LS1 injectors will work with an L98, I was using them for about 3 years. You may or may not need a tune, When I had my 350 in my Iroc I had a hypertech chip and it seemed to run alright.

Awesome!! I also have the Hypertech chip on my Formula. I have an aftermarket adjustable fuel pressure regulator, maybe I'll just turn it down a tad. Thanks,

The LS1 injectors are about 0.12" shorter from oring to oring than the factory injectors in our 3rd gen cars.

Center oring to center oring:
3rd gen factory injector 2.68" (my '87 L98 injectors)
LS1 factory injector 2.56" (my '99 LS1 injectors)

Some people have reported fuel leaks after installing LS1 injectors in 3rd gen cars. FWIW: I have been running FMS injectors (2.60") since 1997 in my '87 car, I have no fuel leak. Many poeple with 3rd gen cars are doing the same and no one has reported a fuel leak. The FMS injectors are the most cost effective and reliable injectors that you can buy. You can buy them from Summit Racing.

If you go with the LS1 injectors in a 3rd gen car, then grind 0.1" from the top of the fuel rail mounting posts.

Yeah, I know. Got that chip 10 years ago then I got my T/A, had no need to modify the L98 after that. Invested my money on the LS1.
