Plastic or steel fuel lines
I bought a 99 LS1 engine and trans from a camero for my 71 chevelle. I need to know if the fuel lines from the fuel rail connectors to the lines going to the tank are plastic or steel on the camero? If they are steel I can order them from GM and I can connect to the lines on the frame easier.
Thanks, Jeff

theres a quick disconnect male ending on the hardline on the frame... the same male fitting thats on the fuel rail.
the camaro uses a plastic line with quick disconnect female fittings on both ends to connect the frame line to the fuel rail. this plastic line is covered with rubber foam, so it does appear to be a rubber line, but it is infact, the same hard-plastic nylon line as most other modern cars.
you can build this line from parts availible at alot of local parts stores... you just need a nylon "splice" line, two female quick disconnects, and a male quick connect feeding tube to have brazed onto your existing hardline.
OR
you can run braided steel line and use quick connect to AN fittings....
