Check the sticky and make Excel your friend.

Yes, you can at 90% duty cycle. >46 would be better.

So I'd be good to go with with my 42's even if I tuned it safely for FI?

You can but your fuel system has to be flawless.Probly dual pumps or a bumper hanger. Also fuel rails with a return line/regulator.

My motor makes over 400 rwhp N/A, and on a 200 dry shot my 42# injectors only work at ~70% duty, so the answer is yes.

Stock injectors will support over 500hp,
but this is an issue of working with boost pressure, so injector output drops comparing to the same fuel pressure NA.

Keep in mind the 42 lbs are rated at 43.5psi fuel pressure,
so if you run 60psi fuel pressure that brings it up to 49 lbs with NA operation.
If you run 10 psi of boost that takes you back down to 45 lb/hr.

I'm using a Walbro 340, and I'm Denver at 7,000 DA, so I'm placing less demand on the pump and injectors than most people.

cant going too big be detrimental to an engine? for example making 420rwhp but going with 60# injectors? at that point how would gas mileage be affected?

The bigger the injector the more challenging the tuning, but I think you are more in the 42# range.
