Default wats a good replacement fuel pump

hey guys i have a 98 ss a4 and my fuel pump every now and then wines really loud so i guess its going bad i want feedback on wats a good upgrade pump to go to?the car will have in like a year afr 205's mild cam and a 100 wet shot along with the rest of the bolt ons.so wat pump in tank?will be a nice upgrade?

where can you buy the 340 at? And is it the same thing as the walbro 255?

I would recommend the racetronix kit. I just put one in and it's a top notch product. Harris Speed Works (sponsor) is where I got mine and I also highly recommend those guys. Fast shipping and a good kit.

nice kit,thanks for the link.let me ask u a ?since 98 have metal tanks i was thinking to swapping in a plastic one is it worth it?i have a convertible so watever weight i can take off is good especially in the rear.

The Walbro 340 is the 255gph pump. We keep them in stock. The 98 tank is easy to work with in installing the pump. It is very costly to swap to the plastic tank. Nothing from your previous setup works with the new tank. Pump/sender assembly, EVAP, filler neck all would need to be replaced as well.

i mean i could get the tank from a junk yard and probaly everything i'll need as well.how much u have the walbro for?and wats the power rating for it?

I would just keep the metal tank. The hassle wouldn't be near worth the weight savings.

and u can actually gain HP by just putting in the racetronix kit?my car also has 107k miles on it so i will like to replace the injectors.wat will be a good size for a heads mild cam and a good wet shot of no2?remember its a daily driver
