Default Standalone Fuel System Question

I am installing a standalone fuel system, using an Aeromotive A1000 w/ 8an feed line.

Question is can i run through one fuel rail then crossover through the other rail and then to my reg or should i split the line go through both rails then out of both rails into the reg?

it seems like it could be done both ways but what is preferred?

this is a 600 rwph N/A setup w/ fuel rails that came with my Beck intake.

I'd disagree, but I could be wrong. I'm not an expert, But I'd say you are safer putting the regulator before the rail. I'm just an EMD mechanic.
What fuel pressure you runnin, btw? I'm thinking of running a standalone type system on my 06 goat, before I build an engine.

i have a crossover on mine still, no split.. works good.

also regulator goes after the rails.. it holds the pressure you desire in the rails and bleeds off what isnt needed back to the tank

Just to let you know, that pump needs to be feed with a -10AN line. And make sure you run the correct filter before the pump (12304). You can run the cross over but it's best to use a Y-block and split off to each rail.

fwiw i think a single walbro 255 in tank can make 600rw N/A... easily with a volt booster and most.... but then again you can also make 600rw with stock rails so maybe thats not the point of your mods.

i currently have a single intank Walbro with stock rails, i have my beck manifold sitting in my garage waiting to go on and it came with billet fuel rails, i could probably make it work, but the plan is to eventually spray this motor with a 200-300 shot with a standalone cell for the enrichment. 600 rwhp n/a will be close on a single walbro and once i spray it wont be enough.

Ok, just checking because you said with the above statement that you are going to use a -8AN feed line.

the pump requires a 10an line on the inlet and only requires a 8an line to the rails, the efi universal kit from Aeromotive that comes with the A1000 pump only has a 8an line. i would have just bought the kit but i wanted to use the nylon braid hose instead of the stainless so i just followed the parts list from the kit.

I personally split the feed line to a dual feed for each rail, but a crossover will work.

Also, the regulator definetly goes AFTER the rails.

Mine's a bit more complicated than it needs to be, but here's a pic:
