Default please help fast, instalinf new pump

im putting a walbro 255 in my 99 camaro ss and its all back together except the wiring. i know the black goes to black and red to grat but the connector that comes with the walbro doesnt slide into my stock one. am i supposed to just splice the wires in?

I used a female blade connector for those 2 posts on the pump. They were insulated and the insulation kinda made them sit against each other and firmly hold each other in place.


Looks like that, just with a rubbery transparent cover.

edit: I cut the factory pigtail off, btw.

ok thanks alot, any problems with the connectors sitting in gas? lol id hate for it to explode

ohh and did you cut holes all in your? whats the purpose of that?

I dont remember cutting any holes.

I ran mine for 3 or 4 years after doing that so I guess its safe, lol. There's obviously no spark in a solid connection, so no fire igniter.

Chances are someone may make an adapter kit but I had just bought the pump itself and nothing else.
