Who's pump are you talking about?
The fullthrottlespeed (sponsor) version direct fit 255 for 99+ requires no mods to the bucket. The new sock for the pump itself just slides down in the bucket with the pump.

Ya its a relay and kit that goes from your new pump and hooks up to your alt+ground! the new waldro or reacetronix kit like i have requires a litttle more power than a stock pump .

It doesn't REQUIRE the extra voltage, if I understand correctly. It will still be better than stock. But it requires more voltage if you want to get the most from it.

98's are a different setup, with a metal tank.

Talking with matt this is what i was told that you really need a hotwire kit becouse the pump requires more voltage especially under a load! If your planning on spraying you really want to use the hotwire kit for extra insurance especially since it isnt going to cost a whole lot extra. You can get a complete kit for 240 so that is pretty cheap to me !

Fullthrottle offers a similar pump and wiring setup for $200 as well. I hear both are quality kits. I'm in the market for a pump and wiring setup and wouldn't mind seeing a Group Purchase get put together with Fullthrottle. Maybe they could offer an even better package deal with more buyers. Anyone else interested? Sorry for the highjack, probably better to start a new thread, but figured I'd ask anyways.

I don't know that I'd order it from FullThrottle. I ordered my kit from there. Got the pump in about 10 days. And 5 more weeks after that the wiring kit came in. 6 weeks is just too long.
