Default fitting question

So I am going to run a -8 feed line for fuel, what type of connector do I use at the tank to connect the line to the fuel tank?

We have 2 ptions there is a Aeromotive 3/8" to -8 fitting or a Russell 3/8" to -6 then just use a step adapter.(much cheaper)

I kinked the plastic hose from the tank to the fuel filter when I installed my Racetronix pump. Could I use 2 of the Russell fittings & some -6 to make a new hose? If so do you sell it?
Thanks,

Mark
