Default Injectors

Ill be buyign some New injectors soon. and i was wandering how hard and how u would go about changing them? im pretty good with engine work but im just used to Carbs. never toched anythign newer then an 84.

Its so easy, the only special tool you would want is a fuel line disconnect tool ($5) You just undo the fuel line and take off the 4 bolts that hole the fuel rails to the manifold and then lift up on the rail and the injectors and rail will come out in one piece. Then just undo each clip that hold each in jector in and pull each injector from the rail.

You have to have your IFR table in the PCM changed though to make the new injectors work ok.

great thnx for the info. and by IFR u mean a new tune or new PCM? im ordering one from PCM for less for a stock LS1 with 5psi STS rear mount system and the 42lb injectors sometime this weekend.

Yeah thats what i meant, the PCM has to show the IFR for 42lb injectors.
