fuel pressure gauge HELP
Just fitted Autometer C2 0-100PSI full sweep gauge.sender on end of stock fuel rail -4AN with 1/8npt port.
Problem is its only reading 26PSI when ignition on and on tickover
I have tried my mechanical gauge on end of rail and after sender and this shows 58-60PSI as it should be.
lights up ok
good 12v+ ignition feed(battery new)
Ground to earth point in drivers footwell
no shorts etc.
Any ideas anybody??
have emailed Autometer & Thunder where I bought it but not getting any response!!
Search not working
Cheers Al

When I switch ign on the needle goes back to the 0 stop and then flicks up to 26psi everytime.
I will ring Autometer later, seems the auto email isn't working

This a Gauge package or just a sending unit you are going to use for logging.
If its just the sending unit, it needs a 5v Power source not a 12V.
If it is part of a gauge package you should be OK, as I believe the gauge steps down the voltage to the sending unit.
Mine did the exact same thing 24-26 PSI when I had it set up with a 12 V source.
Autometer RMA 'd it and I hooked it up to a 5 V source and it works fine now. I am using it without a gauge and just using it for logging.

Yes its a gauge package. I put it in to keep an eye on pressure when racing, so I need the gauge. All the instuctions say 12v power. I will speak to Autometer in a while I am 5-6 hours ahead of them over here. If I do have to return it and have to use a 5v source where did you pick yours up from?
Cheers

The 5V EGR PCM pinout
What V you seeing at the grey wire? should be 5V, I think your seeing 12V like I did.
I was just using the sending unit no gauge, and hooked it up to 12 V though .
I believe the guage gets 12V then steps it down to 5V for the sending unit.
