What can I put on the injector seals to help with install...
Basically Im swapping my fuel rail tomorrow and last time I had it off a friend and I were swapping to 42lb injectors and we had a hell of a time on a few of them seating into the rail...mainly the back ones and its a bitch to get them when you already have the fuel rail on. I heard something once about using a little vaseline, any truth to that, sounds crazy to me but I figured I would ask. Last time I just a little oil and it really didnt seem to help much...any tips!!

I'm wondering what's the reason to not use Vaseline?
I just pulled, cleaned and installed my injectors. I used a very light coating of Vaseline to lube the o-rings. Got to wondering about the advice above so I did a search on Vaseline and injectors. Others have used it and there's no advice not to use it until now.

vaseline
I'v always used vaseline and never had a problem. It is good because the gasoline breaks it down almost instantly so once the car is started it is like it never exhisted, but just out of curiosity why do you advise against it, not trying to be a smart *** I just want to know.
