You can use that to figure what size injectors you will need

To follow on to this discussion is there such thing as too much injector in terms of tuning/drivability? I am also looking to do a 150 shot and know I will need 42# to do it. However if I want to add more cam later I will need 60#'s and I don't want to buy/install injectors twice. I didn't mean to hijack and think this may help 99DWPTA as well.

I would recomend 42lb. injectors and the Racetronics fuel pump. My stock injectors ran my H/C combo at 450rwhp with no problem. I just upgraded to the 42lb. injectors and Racetronic pump for the spray.

-Ford 42 injectors
-Walbro 255 lph pump
-Standalone fuel cell(low pressure) for the direct port kit

Thats how I would do it. That way you can run 93 in the tank and 110 in the cell. Extra safe. You got the $$ to do it, may as well do it good.

You will need a tune with any upgraded injectors for it to run properly. There is no need to go to 60lb. injectors unless you are going with some sort of FI such as a supercharger or turbo.

Just in case some of you dont know already, if you run a wet kit there is no need for a larger injector, fueling is supplied directly off the fuel pump and through the nozzle. Only way you need injectors is if you run a dry kit.

I am thinking about a 150 RWHP Dry Shot and 80 RWHP worth of cam so that makes for about 265 crank HP on top of a 400 HP LS2 which equals 665 HP at the crank. Entering that along with a BSFC of 0.6 and a rail pressure of 50 psi into the fuel injector calculator gives about 57# injectors at 80% duty cycle. Considering the rail pressure will probably not be that high when the juice hits I am thinking 60's are going to be a necessity.
