It is not a volt booster that artificially boosts the voltage above battery voltage like the boost-a-pumps do, but rather it is an upgraded wiring harness that reduces the voltage drop that is common with the stock wiring.

These kits use top quality components & are a great way to increase your fuel supply.

I was a cheap *** and bought the walbro 255 from tsp.
the was NOT a direct fit. I had to use rubber to "take up" the gap because the walbro is not the same dia. as the stock pump. the harness had the wrong conecters so I had to splice them. the pickup filter on the stock pump had the return dumping back into the filter ( two ports on the stock filter) this kit did not. the return dumps into the tank. I was able to mount it any way and the car runs good for now. not real pleased we shall see if the walbro can handle some boost. I did the trap door and am real glad because i will not by the hot wire kit. the next fuel upgrade will be the r-tronixs. should of LIstened.

my car 98 t/a stock ls1, twin to4e's almost ready to boost....

I am in the middle of installing mine. Very high quality hardware and wiring. Pump was almost a drop in fit (I had to remove a couple of tabs in the bottom of the bucket).
So far I am very pleased, although installing the harness will double the amount of time of installation (IMO). But the fact that it greatly decreases the voltage drop is well worth it in the end.
