You definitely need a 1:1 boost referenced FPR. If you are running 10psi for example and your gauge is showing 50psi, you are really only getting 40psi into the cylinders since injectors work on the pressure differential between the rail and the manifold.
As far as your pressure trailing off, that may be due to many things. I'd first start with the simple things like changing the filter, etc. A BAP could help you out too. But since you have to remove the stock regulator out of the tank when you do a 1:1 FPR at the rails, you may as well replace the stock pump with an intank racetronix or walbro, or even dual pumps with one of them boost referenced.

ChevyChad has it right you need to at least add a return style with a front mounted regulator and a single Walbro inthe tank. If you plan over 500rwhp in the future I would go with duals in the tank now and get it out of the way. With our stage 2 kit will get you about 550rwhp if you step it to our stage 3 kit you will have enough fuel for whatever you want to through at it. give me a call I can spec out a perfect system for your needs.
