Walboros Suck
Well i recently had a walboro 255lph pump installed on my car when my oem one went out. So ive had the walboro installed in my car for about 3 months now, and i took the car up to my parents in Northern Wisconsin. So the other day while im here the car just sorta sputters and dies, so i push it off the highway and start it up and i just watch my fuel pressure g from 60-65 all the way down to 0 in about 4 seconds..So i had to have my car towed to a local shop and they are ordering me a new OEM pump which is $500. Then i got to pay for it to have it installed adn everything, and im missing 2 days of work on top of it..This sucks..And to top it off walboro doesnt warrantee there products which is kinda crappy i think. But anyways, sorry guys, i just had to vent..

i'm about to switch my walbro.. i hate the damn thing... some times it's ok but other times my car acts like it wants to die and i have to keep my foot into it adn watch my air to fuel gauge go way lean and after about 5 minutes of fighting to keep it running it starts to act ok and then i wont have a problem for bout 2 or 3 days..

From experience, most pump problems I have seen are related to fuel hose failures due to cheap install kits or reuse of a dirty fuel sock that contaminates the pump. Walbro pumps are used by OE manufacturers, so they have to be of enough quality to pass their standards.
Most reasons that pumps are not warranted, is that the install is often related to the pump failure & if it is not factory assembled in a sending unit with fuel sock etc., they have no control over this install.
BsGreenZ, have you verified your fuel pressure? Your symptoms relating to a fuel pump seem to be questionable.
I just thought I would pass on some info.... I do realize these pumps, as well as all brands, do occasionally fail.
To all, please buy a quality kit, clean your tank properly & use a new fuel sock everytime. This will hopefully save a few of you a lot of grief.
