i have a ls1 98 and put a walbro in just wondering, the wires that connect from the pump to the car is has you cut and wire togeather in your fuel tank?? it cant short out? the fuel cant conduct power and blow it up? help any one

I staggard my cuts so the connections were not close to each other. I also soldered the connection and used heat shrink on the wires.

yeah, it's kinda crapy that the connection is not right. just make sure the splice is good and tight .
